the wheel of fortune is a card of fate or destiny. the wheel is always spinning, as is life is always moving. it calls upon the idea of unknown circumstances ahead. we may not be able to control those circumstances, but we may control our reaction and our choice in how we perceive the effects of these circumstances. the wheel of fortune is moving us towards our life purpose, by whatever means necessary. as Jason Gruhl of Fountain Tarot describes it, "It is impersonal; sometimes we are summiting the mountain, sometimes we are trudging through the valley. Either way it is simply life." although the wheel of fortune is calling upon fate or destiny, it asks us to not just leave our lives up to chance. we are the main component of our lives and we must take a conscious place within it. we can be adaptable. we can work with the wheel. we can call in what we desire. but we must show up in our lives. we must greet our destiny, our fate, our purpose.
as the wheel of fortune shows us, life is constantly moving, with or without our permission. we can fight it. we can choose to not be present. we can get upset about circumstances. we can push against the wheel, but it will not stop. but we can work with the perpetual motion of the universe, of our being. we can choose to show up. we can choose to open up. showing up can feel like a scary responsibility. opening up can feel vulnerable and frighten us. when we leave things up to chance because we are fearful, we call in more circumstances that bring about fear. when we blame circumstances for why we are unhappy, we call in more circumstances that bring about unhappiness. when we do not show up for our lives, life is not going to show up for us. sometimes we show up and do not like what we see, so we show resistance. as we resist, we not only create struggle in our lives, but we become stuck. it becomes a standstill become us and life, where nothing happens and we cannot move forward. this is when we must accept where we are at, release our fear and frustration, and decide we want to move on. we must be adaptable.
making that decision to move forward is a choice to show up for our lives. showing up sometimes looks different, sometimes it is active, sometimes it is letting life flow. but in order for positive changes occur in our the external parts of our lives, we must first begin by changing the internal. we can change our perceptions and our intentions, which can begin with tuning into our needs and desires. we can tune in to what feels good and how we can support ourselves. when we can start giving ourselves the support and love we need, when we start doing what feels good for us and following our desires, we show the universe that we are ready for life to also support us, love us, provide us with circumstances that feel good, and fulfill our desires. we are calling in what we want by showing up in the way we want. if we want more love in our life, show more love to yourself, to others, to life, look for love everywhere you go, invite love into your life. then be open to how it shows up in your life. what you want may not show always appear in the way you expect. it may not look the way you thought it would. but be accepting and adaptable of how it does because it may end up being better than you even thought it could be. the wheel of fortune suggests that fate is in your favor. prepare for good fortune to come your way. let it be realized.
